The announcement in August 2021 included a JoJo Part 6 trailer and a new key visual showing off the new main character.
In addition, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Season 6 will be streaming internationally first and then weekly TV broadcasting in Japan wil begin in January 2022, the Winter 2022 anime season. Eventually, the final streaming schedule was announced during Netflix Festival Japan 2021 on November 9, 2021. But then in early October 2021 Netflix’s media center listing for JoJo Part 6: Stone Ocean was updated and it no longer lists the TV show as “releasing monthly”. In early September 2021, Netflix stated that JoJo Part 6 will be streaming “monthly” on their platform. In response, Monsters and Critics reached out to Netflix for clarification.
The initial Netflix announcement caused some confusion online over whether the entire first season will be streaming on the first day of release.
However, the total number of episodes for Stone Ocean still hasn’t been confirmed yet, which means there will be additional episodes released in 2022 on Netflix. There will be 12 episodes released all at once for that date. The JoJo Part 6 release date on Netflix is set for December 1, 2021. The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6 release date has officially been confirmed… and it’s coming to Netflix first! That’s Jolyne Cujoh, the new female JoJo that’s the main protagonist in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean.
